Ashton Tops Table

LISA Ashton maintained her position at the top of the table on Tuesday, after winning three of her five matches on Day 2 and looks set to secure her place in Saturday’s finale, going into the final day of Group A on Wednesday.

Ashton, who entered Tuesday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group A, won three matches from five, as she recorded victories over Justin Smith, James Richardson and Alan Tabern, with defeats coming against Dan Read and Graham Usher, as she sits on 14 points from a possible 20 thus far.

Elsewhere, Justin Smith topped the daily table with four wins from five, as he sits in 2nd overall on 12 points, with Graham Usher and Alan Tabern sitting 3rd and 4th respectively on 10 points each, Dan Read in 5th on 8 points and James Richardson bottom on 6 points.

The Modus Super Series continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Ashton leading the way thus far.

Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups in Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray. Play will begin at 9:30am GMT on Wednesday and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
