Williams’ Super Streak

Scott Williams was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week 9 at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Arron Monk in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 1st prize.

Williams, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group B on Thursday & Friday, won just one of his group phase matches, in defeating Lee Cocks, before losing out to Danny Lauby, but progressed through to the Semi Finals on leg difference, where he came up against Colin Osborne, and defeated ‘The Wizard’ in a last leg decider, 4-3, hitting a 148 check out to seal his place in the final.

In the final, Williams took on Arron Monk, who’d defeated Danny Lauby in the Last four, and he comfortably defeated the Former World Youth Champion, 4-1, to take the title, seal his place in Champions Week and pick up the £5,000 weekly 1st prize.

The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week 10, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field to be announced in due course. Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
