The Asset Extends Winmau Deal and Aims for Q-School 2023

Paul Nicholson has extended his contract with Winmau. The 2010 Player Championship Finals winner recently made a competitive return in the Modus Super Series and is often on our screens, or in our ears, via punditry and commentary.

Paul was quick to point out the improvements in board technology since he joined the Winmau team in 2014.

Another major change he has witnessed is the personalisation of equipment and how players want to be brand custodians as well as users of the equipment.

Paul also discussed the evolution of his own equipment and wrapped it within the steps taken by other great players over their careers. Whilst being careful to point out that some would go much further than others would be comfortable with in terms of regularity of change. We think you may know who he means…..

The Asset also discussed his own injury complications including overplaying during 2020 and the resultant surgery needed on his right shoulder.

Paul seems keen to try to return to former methods of stance and action to see what he can achieve in his 40s now that he is fully fit. His recent return to action at the MODUS Super Series is the start of a project to get him match fit in time for Q School in January 2023.

Never one to hide his own light under bushel Paul claims that if he “could combine his talent level from 2010/11 and the mental player I feel today that that would be a World Champion”

Its clear from the comment of Simon Hall in the video above that Winmau is delighted to extend their relationship with Paul over the 10-year mark and that The Asset realises the benefits he has received.
