Winmau World Masters Draws Near

The Winmau World Masters of 2022 will be the first of the recognized darts majors to be held outside of the UK. The venerable old event seems to have undergone major reworking under the auspices of the WDF and the Dutch body the NDB.

Despite the various difficulties which seem to have beset the return of the oldest of the modern era events all dart fans will wish them well as the final post covid jigsaw piece is replaced in the WDF jigsaw.

Entries have now closed for the 2022 Winmau World Masters, WDF World Open and World Championship Qualifiers.

310 men, 199 women, 92 boys and 34 girls have entered the race to be crowned as a Winmau World Master and share over €50,000 prize money. Entries are also high for the WDF World Open, a Silver ranking event that carries prize money of over €8,000, and the World Championship qualifiers, where four men, two women, four boys and two girls will qualify to play in the 2023 WDF World Championships at Lakeside.

A full list of the players entered into all tournaments can be found here.

Should any player have a receipt for a tournament they have entered but they do not appear on the entry list for that tournament, please contact WDFTournaments@ndbdarts.nl.

Players are reminded that they must register to play in each tournament at the venue at the times detailed on the WDF website.

The WDF look forward to seeing everyone in Assen, with the action kicking off on Thursday with round-robin action in the Women’s World Masters.
