Play the Pro is a brand-new app that you at home can download now from the app store, which gives you the chance to play professional players including Michael van Gerwen from you’re practice board as you put your darting ability against a professional’s.
The app includes the use of the MODUS Super Series stage, featuring the choice of up to five players and decided by you. MVG along with Queen of the Palace Fallon Sherrock, Mark Webster, Simon Whitlock and Paul Nicholson complete the line-up with the experienced George Noble refereeing your contest at home.
Webby and The Asset also commentate on your matches, and you can choose to play a challenge against each Pro based on accomplishments from their darting careers. For example, you can play Michael van Gerwen that played against Michael Smith in the 2019 Final of the World Championship, as the Winmau man won the Sid Waddell trophy for a third time at Ally Pally.
The solo practice mode on the app gives you the opportunity to find out what your average is, with Noble calling every score you throw on your board at home if you choose to have the referee sound switched on.
You can then put the average you score into your player profile so that when you play the professional players, it will set a handicap between them before each leg starts. The better your average the fewer points the pro will start behind you in each leg you play.
The new app also features a mode where you can race to 3001 points against the pro, giving you the option to set a handicap in favour of yourself, with the score you start on based on which pro you pick and you’re average.
The game mode also gives you the chance to start level with the pro from the start, as you race to try to find high scores and reach the overall goal.
The app is now available via App Store to download now and free of charge, as you put your darting skills to the test against the sport’s very best.
