Wood Tops ADC Table

Tony Wood remains the man to catch at the top of the ADC Rankings, on 474pts, following the first round of Winmau Open Series events taking place on the 8th and 9th of April at Wythenshawe Forum. 

Lewis Gurney who reached the Final of Event 3 and Won Event 1, sits 2nd in the rankings after guaranteeing his spot at the MODUS Super Series, with a 6-2 victory over Colin Osborne. The player who represented Sussex at county level, trails the Gateshead thrower by 53pts with Jack Main in 3rd with 356pts.

James Richardson the Winmau Open Series Event 2 champion is 5th in the rankings, just 8pts off Simon Perkins in 4th with 320pts. 

The Vault returns with the 2nd Series now underway, seeing the 9 regional winners from the previous series all guaranteeing spots at the MODUS Super Series. 

The 9 regional winners who secured their places in Portsmouth were: Peter Hudson, Stephen Cake, Stuart White, Davie Kirwan, Tommy Lishman, Daniel Lee, James Richardson, Jamie Durrant, and John Brown. 

Former MODUS Super Series weekly winner Adam Mould picked up 2 wins at Bradmoor Farm in Aylesbury last Wednesday after beating Jack Neary 3-1 in the Final, including a first 9 dart average of 107.17 for his 2nd win. Jack Vincent sits 2nd in the rankings table, losing to Mould in the Final of the first Round Robin event. 

ADC Number 1 Tony Wood has so far reached a Final and won 2 Round Robin competitions at the Winmau Sky Lounge and the Consett Station Club. 

The Pincher included 3 180s and a 95.94 average in whitewashing Mark Wright 3-0 in the Final of his 1st success, starting with an 11 darter to break his opponents throw. The Amateur Darts Circuit leader does not lead the Middlebeck S.C Middlesbrough region, with Phil Borthwick top of the pile with 2 Round Robin successes and 17pts ahead of Wood on 14pts. 

The Vault 2.0 continues with more spots available at the MODUS Super Series, as regions such as Northern Ireland enter the field.
