Darts World Extra 16: Available FREE

FOLLOWING the phenomenal success of Darts World’s special, one-off, digital publications, such as our annual Souvenir Edition, we were delighted to announce the launch of Darts World Extra (16)

DWE is now a frequent publication, often between our regular print issues and for specific occasions in the Darts World including the PDC’s annual Ally Pally party.

The 16th edition of Darts World Extra – our digital supplementary publication – helps to keep up with what is now such a relentless timetable, covering the last few weeks (mainly April) of tungsten tussling action.

Thanks to our friends at Red Dragon Darts it is still free to download or read direct from their website here

Don’t forget our digital archive where you can find a selection of more than 50 digital copies of Darts World publications from the last decade and selected issues from as far back as 1972!

Packed full of reviews of recent action, previews of upcoming events and articles as well as unique content not available elsewhere:

Darts World Extra 16: Handle With Care

April 2024

Welcome

APRIL has become something of an in betweenie or steady-as-she-goes month in the elite darts calendar. While there is certainly no lack of activity, the pace is slightly more genteel with more opportunity for reflection and looking beyond the surface.

The Premier League is coming nicely to the boil with five of the eight claiming at least one nightly win so far and at least one qualification spot still seemingly up for grabs. Luke Littler’s recent wins have added another element to The Nuke’s barely believable success so far (more within). The World Champion, Luke Humphries, settling into the event should also be welcomed.

Players Championships, Women’s Series weekends and multiple European Tour events round out the PDC’s activity this month. We could be witnessing the rise of the first true German dart star on Martin Schindler who claimed his first PDC title in Reisa. Could this be another tour with a wide range of winning names in 2024?

Chris Dobey and Danny Noppert struck for the ‘midult’ generation on the floor. Van Veen and Rock represented for the newest generation but the old guard had to make do with a couple of quarters for an injured Gary Anderson and a returning Ian White.

Not content with this The Flying Scotsman claimed his first European title in almost a decade last weekend overcoming members of both younger generations en route.

MODUS Super Series is moving at pace, with success for veterans of the format including Connor Henghan, interesting new talents like Jimmy Van Schie and former tour card holders such as Bradley Brooks.

The ADC, and Womens arm WADC, have their season moving now with both the weekly events  (Vault) and Championship Tours in operation. The first weekend of the new CT tour produced 7 different winners. The feedback, to our team on the ground, was very strong.

The UKDA are up to match 7 for their top divisions and the big guns are firing throughout, results, reports and tables are within (from page 48).

We hope you enjoy this 16th DWE with our regular features, exclusive content, competitions and more…
