Q-School: Monk & Sparidaans Take First Cards

ARRON Monk will return to the PDC ProTour for the first time since 2019 after winning outright on the opening day of PDC UK Q-School in Milton Keynes.

Monk came from 3-2 down to seal it 6-3 in the end with a run of four consecutive legs to in his seat at the top table and deny Taylor his first full season at the PDC ProTour.

It’s probable, based on previous years, that with another minor run, Dom aka ‘The Tower’, who almost qualified via the development Tour previously will be gain a Tour Card anyway.

He joins Jeffrey Spaaridans who won in the parallel European Q-School defeating Ronny Huybrechts in Kalkar, both will now join the PDC ProTour for the next two years.

An event is played each day from Thursday 12 January to Sunday 15 January. The four daily winners will receive a Tour Card. There will also be a ranking based on points that can be grabbed by booking victories. Through that ranking, 9 more players will receive a PDC Tour Card for 2023 and 2024.
