Mitchell’s Perfect MSS Run Continues

Scott Mitchell maintained his position at the top of the table on Tuesday, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five on Day Two and looks set to secure his place in Saturday’s finale, going into the final day of Group A on Wednesday.

Scotty Dog Mitchell, who entered Tuesday’s play on 10 points from the opening day of Group A, won five matches from five once again to remain unbeaten at the top of the table.

The former Lakeside World Champion and PDC Tour Card holder recorded victories against Marvin Van Velzen, Ray Mulvey, Sebastian Bialecki, Kevin Painter and Doug Boehm, to sit on a maximum 20 points from a possible 20 thus far.

Elsewhere, Sebastian Bialecki is the closest competitor to ‘Scottie Dog’, with the Polish star sitting in 2nd overall on 14 points, whilst Kevin Painter sits in 3rd on 12 points, Doug Boehm in 4th on 8 points, Marvin Van Velzen in 5th on 6 points and Ray Mulvey bottom on 0 points, having suffered ten straight defeats.

The Modus Super Series continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Mitchell leading the way thus far.

Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups in Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray.

Play will begin at 9:30am BST on Wednesday and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
