Wizard’s World – Osborne Extends Ambassador Role

DARTS WORLD is delighted to confirm that multiple PDC title winner Colin ‘The Wizard’ Osborne has agreed to extend and expand his role as DW brand ambassador.

Colin enjoyed huge success during the first chapter of his professional career, winning several Pro Tour events, hitting a pair of Tour 9-darters, reaching the UK Open final, and capping it all by claiming a PDC premier event and defeating Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor in the Championship of Darts final.

The Wizard contributes his words of ‘Wizdom’ in Darts World magazine and Darts World Extra as well as giving his views and thoughts on contemporary darts news and events.

In the coming years, the Middlesbrough-born thrower will expand his role, to include representing DW’s platforms, as the second half of his career builds to the peaks we all believe he can achieve. One of the areas will be the testing and analysis of darts and other equipment.

Colin’s real-world knowledge and experience, under an enormous variety of conditions and circumstances, from over 15 years as a professional will be invaluable in helping us advise our readers.

During the development of our anniversary, darts set Colin used the prototype, of what has become the DW50, to great success. Indeed, during the initial testing, he produced his 7th competitive 9-dart finish vs John O Shea at the Modus Live League.

The 47-year-old has recently agreed to a new sponsorship contract with official PDC equipment supplier Winmau, enabling him to adopt the popular golden DW50 from now on. Colin’s weapons are a slight variation from the limited edition released last December for our anniversary.

Designed by AIM, manufactured by Winmau, tested and styled by Colin himself, his ‘Wizard’s Weapons’ will be available soon.
